Greetings Friends,
We are excited to announce a couple of new upcoming releases. Ty has been touring a great deal in Asia & Australia through the last year, but is now focused on completing several of the projects that have been in the works.
Our next 3 releases in early spring 2009 will begin with the long awaited re-release of the award winning album Curandero "Aras" by flamenco guitarist Miguel Espinoza and Ty. This album features special guests Bela Fleck (banjo) and Kai Eckhardt (fretless bass). It is truly an organically artistic and timeless original musical piece of art.
Next we are releasing a fresh and inspirational album featuring two bansuri virtuosos (Indian bamboo flute) Steve Gorn & Manose along with Ty on tabla ~ titled "Illumination"
We also have a new DVD / CD coming out soon of a live concert in Boulder Colorado with poet Coleman Barks, cellist David Darling and Ty on percussion. It is an "Evening of Rumi" poetry. We liked the video of the event so much that we decided to make it available through the label. We will let you know as soon as it comes out.
Other projects and CDs in the works include a funk fusion project with bassist Kai Eckhardt and Ty which should be very cool. The other is a trio recording with pianist Bill Douglas, Kai Eckhardt & Ty Burhoe as a second installment on the "Sky" series.
